Deeds recording Robert Benson's land transactions in Brooklyn Heights. In 1801 he purchased property on Joralemon Street from the estate of Phillip Livingston. A year later, Benson bought a parcel of land which in 1804 he sold to Hezekiah B. Pierpont. The 1801 deed was written by Washington Irving.

Washington Irving (b. April 3, 1783, New York City-d.
